IHLARA VALLEY

When it comes to places to visit in Cappadocia, Ihlara Valley is one of the first routes that comes to mind. We have started our tour with the Ihlara Valley in Aksaray  which is the westernmost point of Kapadokya. You have to go down many stairs to arrive this valley which formed as a result of the corrosion of the  12 km long Melendiz River in years. While going down the stairs, It can be relaxing to have rest at the waterside banks and watch the valley view.

NARLIGÖL CRATER LAKE

While rolling the Derinkuyu Underground city from Ihlara Valley, you can have a rest for lovely photos in Narlıgöl (lake with pomegranates). The lake takes it’s name from the pomegranate village that takes place here. This place is called crater lake, but also it is believed that it formed as a result of a meteor fall. Since here are natural hot springs with temperatures reaching 67 degrees Celsius, there are two spa hotels around the lake.

GÖREME OPEN AIR MUSEUM

Göreme open-air museum which has many churchs built by first christians is a site that worths to visit with its interesting structure and volcanic tuff view…

DERİNKUYU UNDERGROUND CITY

There are 37 underground cities discovered so far and just 7 of these serve for tourism, and the Derinkuyu is the major one. This city which firstly built for defending by hitites is continuing to widening and changing. You will be amazed when you visit this structure with its diameter of 7 meters and 60 meters depth. It’s not recommended for ones who have heart disease, hypertension, asthma, back or neck pain. In these cities which built for protecting and defending, Narrow tunnels were built for hiding from the enemies.

THREE FAIRY CHIMNEYS

The photos of three beuties can be found on many Turkish commercials and postcards sent from Cappadocia. They all really serve wonderful views. Fortunately the weather is nice and clouds are photogenic. The three beauty is also known as fairy mother-girl dual.

PIGEON VALLEY

We are continuing our tour with Pigeon Valley. Pigeon Valley is a pleasant walking path that lies from Üçhisar to Göreme. Because they have a limited land area, local people made pigeon nests to benefit from their dungs to use in agriculture. Because pigeon dungs are highly useful as fertilizers. The Valley can be seen from the Üçhisar Castle best.
