Ancient Cities

Aspendos Ancient City

Aspendos is a rich settlement which is located in the Serik District of Antalya, famous for its ancient theater and built by Akads in 10. century. As for the theater which has managed to survive till our era, it was built by Romans in 2. century.

Patara Ancient City

 Patara is one of the oldest and most important cities in Likya. Besides its archeological and historical significance, it has the oldest and original lighthouse.

Olympos Ancient City

Although the exact date of establishment is unknown, the ruins of Olympus whose name is mentioned in 167 BC are covered with trees and bushes.

  Perge Ancient City

Perge is the most organized city not only in that region but also in the whole of Anatolia. Besides its architecture, it is also famous for its marble sculpture. Being on the Tentative List of UNESCO, Perge has many pieces that shed light on the past. With an amphitheater, columns, towers, a huge stadium, sacred significance, and many amazing architectural structures, Perge is a sumptuous ancient city.

Termessos Ancient City

Termessos is a stunning ancient city founded by the Solyms, descendants of the Luwians, one of the oldest peoples of Anatolia, in the southwestern part of the Pisidia region called Milyas, in the valley between the peaks of the Solymos Mountain, which is today called Güllük. It is one of the most important ruins protected in the forest and is located in the National Park of the same name.

Phaselis Ancient City

Phaselis, with its history dating back to 333 BC, is located on the coast, on the edge of 3 beautiful bays and in a green forest. Phaselis which is thought to be an important port city, is one of the considerable ancient cities lying on coast.

Side Ancient City

Side which is one of the significant port cities in history, has many historical ruins as city walls, colonnaded streets, ancient theatre, fountain, Turkish bath, museum, gates, temples, and palaces.

Natural Beauties

Likya Way

“Likya way” is a 535 km long way starting from Fethiye and passing through whole Antalya. There are great maps of this route in many parts of Antalya. Many campgrounds, ancient citiess and seasides are in this route. The shortest and most popular part of this way is the part between Adrasan-Olimpos which is 13 km long.

Köprülü Canyon

The Köprülü Canyon, which fascinates everyone with its view, is an ancient artifact with a height of 35 meters and a width of 2.7 meters, on the historical Olukköprü Köprüçay, which is 22 meters long, between the two steepest sides of the canyon. Rafting can also be done in the canyon.

Tazı Canyon

The side walls of the Tazı Canyon, located in Köprülü Canyon National Park, are between 200 meters and 400 meters. It gets great attention from photographers, campers and hiking groups.

Çıralı Yanartaş

Yanartaş is named after the flames that come out of the holes on the rocks on the hills. These are fires on the mountain, which have not been extinguished for thousands of years, have been the subject of many legends in mythology and ancient times.

Patara Dune

Karain Cave

Karain is thought to have been used as a settlement 500,000 years ago and has become the largest cave in Turkey in history known to have been inhabited by humans.

Damlataş Cave

Damlataş Cave, which is a natural wonder, was formed in a period of 15 thousand years. The cave, which attracts great attention with its stalactites and stalagmites inside the cave, is also popular because the air temperature never changes. It is known that the cave, which is around 22 degrees in summer and winter, is also good for asthma.

Historical Places

Kaleiçi

Kaleiçi is an important tourism spot with ancient ruins. At the same time, there are walls and a port surrounding the place used as a bazaar. It contains traces of Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods. There are about 3000 houses in Kaleiçi, which is located by the sea, and it reflects its history with its architecture.

Antalya Museum

Antalya Museum, one of the largest museums in Turkey, consists of 14 exhibition halls, open-air galleries and a garden where sculptures and many works are exhibited, on an area of 30,000 square meters.

Aquarium (Antalya Aquarium)

Aquarium, which is one of the five places that host the most domestic and foreign tourists in Turkey, is the largest tunnel aquarium in the world. There are also activities inside the aquarium such as the Snow World and Ice Museum, the Tropical Reptiles section and a virtual reality tour.

Heart of Antalya

Heart of Antalya, Turkey’s largest and Europe’s second largest Ferris wheel, is 90 meters high and weighs 400 tons.
